Spiders are fascinating creatures. When I think of spiders, I am reminded of Spiderman, an imaginary superhero who uses spiderweb as a powerful tool. So what exactly is spiderweb made of? Spider silk consists of around 5-6% protein and moisture. Interestingly, spider silk is even stronger than steel. When multiple strands of spider silk are combined into one mass, their strength multiplies making it even more formidable. In fact, some scientists have utilized spider silk in the production of bulletproof jackets, demonstrating its incredible strength.
